Rare 19th Century Anglo Indian Padauk Table Hand Carved Hardwood Lions & Flowers

A very decorative and good looking piece of art furniture, some of these tables sell in the £25,000+ region, the amount of time, effort and the level of craftsmanship involve simply doesn’t exist anymore

This table size wise can be used as a four person dining table or as a centre table for display. It has an after market glass top which has been added for protection. It has done its job well, the top has some age related imperfections but is in substantially better condition than most others from the same era

It’s carved with floral decoration all over and the legs or feet are each finished with a pawed Lion or Cheetah, its difficult to say for sure.

We have cleaned waxed and polished it, the table has age related patina marks as mentioned but is in very good order for the age

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
