A Japanese Folk Art woodblock print by Shozan Takahashi of the Otsu-e School. This figural print is an excellent example of Takahashi Shozan’s adept knowledge of traditional block print. This particular print is of a kabuki character Fuji Musume (Wisteria Maiden). This particular piece is signed with an orange stamp to the lower right. It is professionally framed under glass with a burnt orange mat in a black wooden frame with gilt detail and attached hardware.
How we would style it:
This would be a wonderful way to add a bit of Folk Art to any art collection. We suggest keeping this piece in the current frame, and hanging on a gallery wall, or perhaps down a hallway with other pieces of a woodblock collection.
