A rare and important Anglo-Japanese walnut fire screen by Edward William Godwin with a Pagoda style top and a silk Japanese country scene to the front. To the back although worn, there are peacock designs in a circle in the same style as Godwin designed for Jeffrey and Co, including the kissing birds he also designed in a circle formation.
