A Good Quality 19th Century French Mahogany Commode in the Louis XVI Style.
This lovely commode is in the rectalinear Louis XVI style with outspreading columnar supports. The piece has ormolu mounts to the tops of the columns, as banded drawer mounts and to the collars and tips of the toupie feet. There are additional ormolu mounts to the sides which is a sign of particular quality. The original grey and white mottled marble top is very decorative.
