Vintage Design
Thonet’s rung chair has an undeniable similarity in shape to Adolph Schneck’s Tübingen chair. Structurally solved differently, the legs in our model are mortised into the mortised longitudinal beams under the seat and are therefore not visible from above, the flared legs and the cantilevered backrest are very similar. An indestructible, stable chair made of solid beech wood.
slight traces of wear. After a short search, we were unable to find any other examples of the Thonet rung chair. It is possible that this is a small production, as Germany at the time was at war with the world in 1942.
