Early 20th century Japanese hand painted silk screen with three statuesque white cranes surrounded by bamboo, flowers and fauna, all on a lovely cream background. In Japan the crane is sacred as it symbolizes wisdom and longevity while the bamboo represents strength and endurance. Screen is surrounded by a wooden frame with Asian style brass brackets atop each panel.
