Decorative Indonesian shadow puppet from the island of Java. A rare survivor with intricately handpainted leather hide. Sitting on finely carved horn rods, used by the puppeteer to manipulate the shadow puppet during a performance. Representing the character Satyaki, who was a Krishna devotee.
