An Interesting 18th Century Italian Walnut Sideboard/Cabinet.
This cabinet has a simple overhanging planked top above a series of four panelled doors, two wider examples in the centre with narrower doors to each end. Behind the narrow doors are single shelves, creating two cupboard spaces. Behind the wider doors are three shelves and a deep pull out drawer.
The walnut used in this piece is of fine colour and has a lovely surface. Each door has a floral paterae handle with ring pull to the centre. It stands on bracket feet with fretwork carving.
The figured timber used on the door fronts glows and has been chosen with care and beautifully matched.
