Classic, elegant set of four antique Biedermeier shovel chairs in walnut from Austria around 1830. Walnut book-matched veneered and solid walnut. Original spirals painted with ink on the sides of the backboard. Ebonized outside and inside edge of the backboard shovel. One chair in darker and more vivid walnut grain.
