Vintage Design
A very attractive plant column that was part of an oversized flower bench, the hard cardboard surfaces were unfortunately defective and have not survived the last 100 years so well, so they were replaced with wooden panels and the paint was shabby but dingy. It was therefore sanded and refinished with chalk paint, leaving old signs of wear and adding new ones so that the charm is retained. The surfaces were sealed with varnish, the rest with a wax finish.
