This most decorative pair of Raj period Indian candlesticks has been heavily cast in bronze in the form of a striking cobra snake. Each one is fully hand engraved with stylised scaled markings and patterns. The eyes are inlaid in orange coral and from behind their raised heads the candle sconces have been fitted with decorative shaped and engraved drip pans. These impressive candlesticks are rare in their high quality workmanship which is much better than other examples on offer. They are finished with a green-brown patina.
