This piece is a reproduction from the Metropolitan Museum’s Greek and Roman collections. It was produced in the 1970s and 80s, and is no longer in production or sold in the Museum Store. It’s a very well crafted piece that is well weighted. It’s a versatile serving piece — from bar to formal dining table to alfresco dinner gathering.

I love this big blue headed drake! He really is a pitcher…the beak is the pour spout and the wings act as a handle. He’s quite the statement centerpiece.
