Completely original furniture set consisting of a sofa for 3 people and 2 armchairs, series GE290 made of solid teak. Original cushion with metal springs and green wool fabric. Everything is in good condition, but renovation of the furniture cushions and covers can be considered.
Hans Wegner designed this furniture series and the furniture has been produced ever since. However, it has not been possible to buy it in teak like this rare set for many years. Back height: 73 cm. Sofa length: 180 cm. Armchair width: 76 cm.

Designed in 1951 by Ico Parisi for the Cantù producer Ariberto Colombo and both present in the Ico Parisi catalog raisonné with numbers 1951.4 A and 1951.4 C.

The sofa with round and soft lines was produced in different versions, linear, curved and angular.

The details of these seats make us understand the genius and skill of the design, the curved lines that form the armrests and the backrest are sinuous and continuous, giving movement to the seats.

Ico (Domenico) Parisi, is one of the most important Italian architects and designers of the first half of the 20th century, gold medal at the Milan Triennale in 1954.

The three-seater sofa and armchair have just been reupholstered in aqua green satin to bring them back to their original splendor.

Both are in like new condition.

Displayed in prestigious collections such as the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne and New York’s MoMA, the Ribbon armchair continues to inspire contemporary designers worldwide.
