Guy Rogers, a prominent seating maker of the ’60s, was based in Liverpool. He led a dynamic design team consisting of George Fejer, MSIA FRSA and Eric Pamphilon. Their collaborative efforts resulted in some of the most iconic seating designs of the era. Additionally, they had an exclusive fabric consultant, Margaret Leischner, who designed unique fabrics for them and sourced fabrics from the US, Europe, and the UK. This diverse range of fabrics, including the hand-woven Harris and Donegal Tweeds, became a hallmark of vintage Guy Rogers pieces from the 1960s. Some of their best creations were sold in London by Heal.

The pair we discovered is a truly exceptional piece, crafted from the finest elmwood. As is our practice, we meticulously sanded the wood to preserve its original pale hue, a testament to its natural beauty. To ensure its longevity, we treated and protected it with the ultra-transparent Renner varnish, allowing us to admire the raw elm without fear of staining. This careful process underscores the value we place on each piece we encounter.

Swiss blue tartan and white armchair 1435 by Werner Max Moser for Embru, 2000s Armchair mod. 1435 with a rectangular base. The seat and backrest are composed of two padded cushions covered in white background fabric with blue tartan decoration, the structure is in chromed metal rod and has wooden armrests with a rectangular section. The internal structure is in black metal with elastic bands on the seat, and has two inclination modes. Produced by Embru in 2000s and designed by Werner Max Moser in 1930s. Franz Sartori is best known for his organic sculptural work but he also designed furniture which reflected his sculptural talent. These incredible e seats sofa is extremely comfortable and also reflect the organic forms Franz Sartori is known for. Flexform is one of the best Italian furniture brands that was founded in 1959. Flexform is a family business, that was born in the most flourishing period of Italian design in the furniture manufacturing district of Brianza in Northern Italy.

Scandinavian easy chair for Ekornes circa 1970’s. Bent plywood frame supports an extremely comfortable hammock style floating seat. Great construction and quality. The chair are in original condition. Has scratches and abrasions visible in the photos. On one armrest the skin needs to be re-stitched.. Despite the signs of time, it looks great. You can see the uniqueness, style and timeless design. I have a second item in another auction in very nice condition.
