Vintage old Mossi wood stool with painted top from Burkina Faso. A stunning old stool with incised designs and a zoomorphic form, carved from a single block of indigenous wood. The Mossi created this style stool to be a prized possession and a signal of prestige and social status. Aged beautifully by use and time. Circa early 1960’s.
