This amazing Japanese artist Takashi Matsutani born in Osaka, Japan and now Paris based at the age of 73 has been recognized worldwide. He was recognized in Art in America May 2010 and had a show at MOMA in NYC. He was from the school of the Gutai movement in Japan that reiterated, don’t copy anyone be original. His early work such as this one above is widely collected because it is his earlier work. This was done in 1967 and is numbered 8/60 and signed. This is a black and white etching extremely detailed of propagation. Very sensual and eliciting sexual innuendoes. It has been newly framed in a simple black wood square frame with matting. This will elicit conversation and is by a noted Japanese artist.
